Feel the fire of four Jet Dragsters, three Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars, eight Nitro Bikes, twenty Top Comp cars and over 170 teams!
The Drag Racing Grand Final will take place this Saturday, April 8.
Jet Dragsters will be lighting up the night and keep you warm with their amazing fire show and 400kmh+ passes down the quarter mile. The USA’s Chuck Haynes and Curt White, plus South Africa’s Pieter De Wit and Australia’s Daniel Miocevich are going to deliver an epic set of races. Make sure to drop by their pit area for autographs and maybe even to sit in one of the cars!
The NITRO NEWS is that three Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars will be in attendance including Andrew Katavatis in the Beach Bomb, Emma Begley in Groov’n and Frank Taylor, driving Andrew Minogue’s Ford Mustang. Throw in eight nitro bikes including former national champions Mark Drew and Jay Upton plus the world’s quickest amputee Benny Stevens and you have a recipe for a thrilling nitro night.
The points battles across the WA Drag Racing Championship are fascinating and Top Comp is right up there with Adam Marchant, John Zappia and Steve Aldridge to battle for the win. Zappia has said he is focused on beating his best time of 5.68 though, will it come at the cost of consistency? Be there to find out – you don’t want to miss a possible new Top Doorslammer record!
To fit in all this action, sportsman qualifying will begin from 10am, with the main show from 5.30pm. Tickets to the Drag Racing Grand Final start from just $25/adult, $12/child 13-17, $8/child 5-12 and kids under 5 free. You can book online now and avoid the queues or purchase tickets at the gate.
